Day Camps
Camp Minikani offers a variety of day camp options for children ages 5 to 12! Our day camp program is a great way for your child to try camp and includes a selection of similar activities to those offered in our overnight camp programs.

MINIKANI DAY CAMP - Ages 7-12 (Mon-Fri, 7:30 a.m. - 5:15 p.m.) Deposit $50 per session
If you think your child is not quite ready for overnight camping this summer, Minikani Day Camp is the perfect stepping stone.
In the morning campers will be going to 3 skills for Tuesday and Wednesday and then 3 different skills on Thursday and Friday. The younger kids (groups A, B, E, F) will have 2 of those skills chosen for them. They will be moved through the 5 different skill areas Adventure Challenge, Gun and Run, Waterfront, Wilderness Survival, and Crafts. We have found that this helps kids transition from one skill to another, since many of these kids are new to camp. We also believe this helps the children form friendships amongst their group and helps with group unity.
-Skill sign up for Resident campers is Sunday night and the first skill sign up for day campers is Monday morning. For this skill sign up Resident campers will have the priority. We have the second, all-camp, skill sign up on Wednesday afternoon. At this time groups A,B, E, and F will be the first groups to go in.
-If your child is not able to get the skills they wanted, the counselors will do their best to incorporate these activities in their afternoon group activities.

AC: Rock wall (5 spots), High ropes (5 spots)
GnR: Day Camp Archery, Land sports—Disc golf, Ultimate Frisbee, Soccer (5 spots), Air rifle (4 spots), BBs (4 spots), .22 (4 spots)
Waterfront: Tech diving (3 spots), Boating (6 spots), Swimming, Canoeing (5 spots)
WSA: Fishing (limited spots), Wilderness Survival, Bushcrafts, Nature
Crafts: Crafts, Advanced crafts, Master crafts, Yoga (5 spots)
-Corral is never offered as a skill to Day Campers. If you child is interested in the corral please have them sign up for Equestrian Day Camp.

The highlight of the week will be an overnight experience as campers have the opportunity to spend the night in tents at Camp Minikani. Exciting outdoor adventures, skill development, and new friendships await your child at day camp! Day camp is held 7:30am to 5:15 pm Monday through Friday.

Minicamp gives children a great overview of all the fun things Camp Minikani has to offer. Daily activities include arts & crafts, hiking, swimming, group games, environmental education, and much more. Parents provide transportation, a bag lunch and swim attire; we provide the snack, tons of fun and low camper to counselor ratios. Sign up for all four sessions and give your child a rewarding and memorable summer.
